I am Elina Uusitalo, working under the artist name Cosmica Elina — a Finnish artist whose heart beats in the archipelago and whose soul finds rest in the quiet of a garden.

The roots of my art lie on a small island between sea and sky. There, stripped of modern comforts, I have painted at the mercy of nature under cosmic starlight. Yet I feel equally at home in the heart of the city, in my own small garden oasis — a place where Mother Earth offers breathtaking moments right at my doorstep.

I create intuitive and symbolic works where nature, animal figures, the sea, dreams, memory and the cosmos intertwine.
My paintings move between romantic nature painting, contemporary surreal imagery and inner landscapes.

Hyper-Romantic Dust and Fleeting Moments

My art is hyper-romantic and often surreal — an ode to those moments when the beauty of nature brings tears to the eyes and a quiet smile to the lips.

It is the magic dust of a dreamworld, found just as easily in the shooting stars of the archipelago as in the tiny wonders of my garden.
To me, that fleeting glimpse is the essence of life: the magic that appears when one dares to pause in the present moment.

My paintings are dreamlike spaces where time and perspective lose their meaning.
I hope that every viewer can create their own story within them.
It is my greatest joy to hear the many different worlds my work awakens in others.

A Journey with Fools and Adventurers

My artistic path has long been an introspective journey, but now I feel a growing fire to share this enchantment with others.

In spring 2026, my five-piece painting series The Cosmic Deer Herd was selected for the Riga Contemporary Surrealism Biennale 2026.
It was my first exhibition experience and an important step toward allowing my art to become visible beyond the home and studio.

I am now slowly building the world of Cosmica Elina through paintings, prints, stories, exhibition dreams and small art products.
I want to create art that invites people to slow down, look more closely and remember that the world is still full of wonder.

I work intuitively and experimentally, guided by the energies of nature.
For me, art is not only creation, but also survival: a way to cleanse the soul of everyday dust and return to that soft, strange and beautiful connection that makes life feel alive.

My dream is to invite new people into my life — artists of life, fools and adventurers guided by curiosity and the voice of the heart.
