My Art Print Samples Arrived – So Exciting!

Today I received my first art print samples, and opening the package felt a little like Christmas. Seeing my artwork on a screen is one thing, but holding it in my hands on real art paper is something completely different.

It was wonderful to compare different paper types, tones and textures. Some papers make the colours look brighter and clearer, while others create a softer and more painterly feeling. Even the whiteness of the paper changes the atmosphere of the artwork surprisingly much.

Some of the prints felt successful immediately. With others, I noticed small details I would still like to adjust before ordering a larger print run. That is exactly why samples are so useful: they show how the colours, dark areas, details and paper surface work together in real life.

The best part was seeing that my paintings look beautiful as prints too. The original feeling is still there, but the paper adds a new layer and gives each artwork a slightly different character.

This was a small but important step towards creating my own art print collection. Now I have a much better idea of which papers work best for different artworks and what I would like to refine before the next order.

And yes — comparing and holding all these papers was so much fun :D
