Slow Steps, Quiet Wonders: Opening My Art Shop

Today I opened my little art shop.

It sounds simple when written in one sentence, but in reality it has been a much longer and more winding process than I expected. Setting up an online shop, connecting products, adjusting prices, checking shipping, writing descriptions, building a website, starting a blog, and creating pins for Pinterest — each small step seems to open another small task waiting behind it.

This is my first time building this kind of shop, and I have learned that there is always something unfinished. A product description to polish. A mockup to improve. A link to check. A page that still needs a better image. A pin waiting to be published.

But maybe that is also part of the work.

Art has never been only about the finished piece. It is also about learning to stay with the process — slowly, uncertainly, and with curiosity. Some days feel clear and flowing. Other days are full of tiny technical problems and decisions that take much longer than expected.

Still, today something became real.

The shop is open, even if it is still growing. A few art mugs are available, and I have started adding canvas prints from The Cosmic Deer Herd, a painting series connected to the Riga Contemporary Surrealism Biennale 2026. More products, mockups, and stories will follow step by step.

For now, I am trying to enjoy the beginning as it is: imperfect, exciting, and very much alive.

Slow steps, quiet wonders.
One day at a time.
